By the time the wind starts hitting the windows, ordinary sleep advice has usually run out of usefulness. You may have dimmed the room, skipped the late coffee, and put the phone down. Then a gust sounds like something tearing loose, the weather alert tone cuts through the dark, the air conditioner dies, and your body decides that sleep is no longer the assignment.

That reaction is not a character flaw, and it is not the same thing as a routine anxious night. Emergency Alerts Create a Real Safety-Monitoring Problem
